About TriFocus

Thanks for visiting the Tri-Focus website. John Browning - Owner of TriFocus Consulting

In 1996, I was doing research to start a carpet cleaning company when I received some great advice. My stepfather told me that in every industry the wheel had already been invented. Find that person with the best wheel or SYSTEM in your industry and learn everything you can from them. Well, hearing good advice and acting on good advice are very different. When I started my business I was all over the place—trying to create a business that I was proud of, support my family and not dread coming to work every day. I have to admit (or maybe one of my employees mentioned it first), I had a way of doing things that worked fairly well, but nobody else knew how I wanted it done or how to do it. I was the system, and I had nothing in writing. I was determined to make my business succeed at all costs. It was painful to realize, but I didn’t have all the answers. I had to build a system for my business that would generate the profit I wanted, so I could still have a family life.

In October 2000, while attending a one-day business building seminar, I came across Howard Partridge, a man who had the system in our industry that my stepfather was talking about. Howard had spent years putting into place systems that created a turnkey operation allowing his company to provide the most outstanding service experience with or without him. I immediately joined his mentoring program. I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get home and tell my wife. The excitement soon turned into a crushing fear when I told Lisa how much the program cost. She just knew I’d been scammed and began to cry right there in the kitchen. Neither of us realized at that time how powerful and freeing it could be to systematize our business. It took about five years for me to implement most of the systems Howard recommended, but by the fourth year we were making enough money that Lisa could quit work when she became pregnant.

The systems implemented in my business just five years ago still produce results in four key areas: profitable growth, effective business management, successful employee performance and predictable product and service delivery beyond what the competition can provide. (And, the real bonus for me has been a good night’s sleep and a happier family!)

I’d love to talk to you about your business. Let’s grab some coffee and determine whether it makes sense to work together.
